About GAMIT
|
GAMIT and GLOBK are a comprehensive suite of programs developed by MIT, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and Harvard University for analyzing GPS measurements primarily to study crustal deformation. The GAMIT home page is available.
The SOPAC data archive GAMIT directory contains all of the setup files listed below.

station.info Resources

station.info is the gps site equipment setup file used by gamit
Produce your own site/day specific station.info from the command line, by providing four-character site codes and a valid date (multiple site=xxxx key/value pairs may be used): -> wget "http://sopac.ucsd.edu/cgi-bin/procInputMetadata.cgi?site=pin1&date=20030101&format=station_info" -O station.info
GPS processing metadata xml files for western North America sites and global
sites generated daily (note: large size). Note: SOPAC-processed sites only.
The procInput.xsd xml schema that the above xml files conform to
Up-to-date IGS antenna and receiver code xsd schemas. These are also generated daily, and are used as part of the main xml schema above.
station.info is created daily from the above global site xml file. Note: SOPAC-processed sites only.
The xslt stylesheet used to create station.info from the xml file (note: a perl wrapper script is used in addition to the stylesheet, for gamit firmware translation only)

ITRF 2000 Reference Frame Files
|
ITRF 2000 reference frame files are apriori coordinate files, and are described in IGS MAIL message 4642)
SOPAC uses the refined model to create its apriori coordinates and constraints for all sites (including core reference frame sites) in its daily GAMIT processing. (SOPAC's weekly GLOBK solutions do use the official core site coordinates and constraints). Use the coordinate request utility to create a file of apriori coordinates for the epoch (year/day) of interest, directly generated from the model.
itrf2000_core html ftp
Description: these are the official ITRF2000 version 2 (IGB00 realization of ITRF2000) core site apriori coordinates and velocities. ITRF2000 version 2 became the official IGS reference frame from beginning on GPS week 1253 (01/11/2004).
itrf2000_2001_rfwg.refined html ftp
Description: this file contains the above set of core sites, and all other sites ever processed at SOPAC. Non-core sites are updated daily using the SOPAC refined model.
