SOPAC's "processed site coordinates" are generated using the following method.
- When RINEX data appear on the SOPAC data archive for a new continuous GPS site, relatively accurate coordinates are automatically estimated using ITRF2000). The geodetic coordinates are referenced with respect to the World Geodetic System of 1984 (WGS84). These latitude/longitude/elevation values are projected onto the WGS84 ellipsoid underlying the WGS reference frame.
Please contact webmaster@sopac.ucsd.edu to request accurate coordinates of sites which are not processed by SOPAC, or to suggest the implementation of additional datums.
