Non-java applet time series plots now available

First generation GSAC development complete, see announcement to IGS Mail

NY Times California In Motion article

Processing page updated with new layout

Java time series applet now displays SOPAC's refined model time series.

SOPAC refined model coordinates, velocities, and timeseries.

Locate nearby geographic data to your lat/lon of interest, using a specified radius. Utilizes GSAC technology.

Multiple site coordinate sources (example) now available. SOPAC maintains multiple sources of coordinates for continuous GPS sites, including those calculated during our GPS processing.

SOPAC/CSRC CAL-IT2 feature

Site Information Tool provides a variety of metadata information for multiple GPS sites.

SOPAC/CSRC data archive now available via http

SOPAC's Site Information Manager has been upgraded (again). While version 1.2 extended the SIM's compatibility to work with Internet Explorer, Netscape 6 and Mozilla browser types, among other enhancements, version 1.3 features additional changes we think will greatly benefit both current and future SIM users. Included in version 1.3 are the following changes:

  • Improved site selection, navigation and searching functionality
    • Added "Find Sites" function, with hyperlinked sites and attribute information
    • Added Go To previous active sites pulldown menu
    • Site selection box now accepts keywords, site codes and site ids...and brings you to a "Find Sites" output listing should you enter ambiguous information and/or an incomplete site code or SOPAC site identifier.
  • Added conflict avoidance mechanisms for serial number-based Site Metadata (privileged users only).....take two example sites, find out what site A's current receiver is and add a receiver transaction to site B (temporarily of course). The SIM should notice the violation and prevent the transaction from taking place.
  • Added Site History function (privileged users only)....output format open for suggestions.
  • Incorporated support for new IGS Site Information Form format....soon to be operational in the IGS?. This new feature actually creates a "cluster" of new Site Metadata pages (e.g Multipath Sources, Signal Obstructions, etc) as well as modifies/enhances existing Site Metadata pages.
  • Stripped most of the continuous-GPS-site specificity from SIM, primarily in an attempt to better support campaign-mode GPS site information and other possible future uses of the SIM.
    • Type of Site now specified during site creation
    • Type of Site shown in Find Sites output listings
    • Site Code now editable in Site ID Monument section
  • Improved appearance and organization of all Site Metadata sections
  • Added support for user-oriented cookies and direct login via url. If you have cookies enabled on your browser subsequent "startup"s of the SIM (on the same computer anyway) will skip the login phase.
  • Incorporated bug fixes, layout changes and client-side Javascript improvement to Query Tool
